Ruwe Bolster was born in 2011 with a shift in perspective. Interior architect and founder Sheryl Leysner became increasingly fascinated by the objects and materials that were often overlooked or discarded.

She discovered that by reusing these materials, embracing their imperfections and designing with emotion, they could be transformed into something entirely new pieces with character, meaning and soul.

What started as a personal passion grew into Ruwe Bolster Art Lights & Furniture.

Ruwe Bolster creates playful art lights and furniture with soul that bring warmth, positive energy and connection into healing environments. All designs are made to transform not only spaces, but also the way people experience them.

The creative team of Ruwe Bolster combines passion for design and storytelling with the ambition to reuse and upcycle vintage objects and rescued materials. By giving these materials a second life, we create surprising, one-of-a-kind pieces that add an emotionally uplifting touch to any interior.

Every space deserves a unique piece of lighting or furniture. That is why bespoke designs, as well as adaptations of existing pieces in different sizes, materials and colours are possible on request.
